THE POND

There’s a pond down in the pasture that you will walk past as you’re headed to the river. It’s a great place to sit quietly and gather in the surroundings, anticipating seeing a doe with her fawns in the springtime or a Red-Tail Hawk soaring in search of breakfast. Rainbow and Brown Trout inhabit this private pond and fishing is permitted with BARBLESS FLIES ONLY . . . . No treble hooks. This is only for those who adhere to careful CATCH & RELEASE. What a great spot for a supervised child to catch that ‘first fish’ and then learn about the benefit of releasing the prize back to its watery lair.
